During the war and the late 40s when traveling down from London when nearing Paignton we were told to move to the front of train as this was the only part the fitted into the station the rest of the train was left out over the level crossing, no long platform then.
That walk was painful Always great day nd video

When I last used this line (maybe 10 years ago) it was a bit of an ordeal, but it looks as if they have finally replaced the rattly old trains with shiny new ones?
Yep, they replaced them around 2019. As expected, the trains are still really busy though! (A)
KTV just to say that heavily delayed by 35 mins is nothing compared to what my Dad had to go through. (His train was delayed by just over 2 hours due to a signalling problem)

Im pretty there is a railtour at London kings cross so thats why the class 57 is heading to london. I might be wrong but that was my thought.
